Hello Mentors. Thank you for your continuous effort to create change within our community. We look forward to working with you this year. Please see the links below to find out more information on requirements and expectations this 22-23 school year. Again, none of what we do can be completed without out you- and we appreciate having you in the Take Stock family.
We are so excited that mentoring has kicked off! We know our mentors and students have been anxious to reconnect and to start working towards their goals for this school year! Please feel free to reach out to your student to start scheduling mentor sessions!
As a reminder, mentoring will be virtual and in person this year. Ideally mentoring will continue to occur for 30 minutes a week, every week during the school year except for during Winter Break and Spring Break. At a minimum, mentoring sessions need to occur for 30 minutes twice a month. Sessions must still be logged in our STAR database on a weekly basis, or preferably, within the mentor app.
We are happy to announce the Take Stock App has been updated for this Academic Year.
Some of the new enhancements include:
Login Checkbox to confirm that all users have read and understand the mandatory waiver
Change/Update Password from within the Take Stock App
Message Center and System Alerts to keep you informed
Quick access to the 2021 Mentor Toolkit
New Student portal to allow students to access Take Stock App features from a PC or Laptop
We are excited to bring you these new enhancements, and we hope you find the Take Stock App user
experience is even better this new year.
We created the Take Stock App Video Chat as a more personalized experience to conduct your
mentor sessions with your mentee. The Take Stock App is a safe and secure platform for mentors
and mentees to conduct mentor sessions and provides an easy way for you as a mentor to schedule
and log mentor sessions. We had no idea at the time that we began the concept of creating the Take
Stock App that the world would encounter a global pandemic, and the Take Stock App would be put
into action as a way to conduct Take Stock Text Chat and Video Chat Mentor Sessions, but we are
sure glad we have it!
We hope you find this latest enhancement to the Take Stock App an enjoyable user experience and
helpful to you as you are mentoring. To use this new version of the Take Stock App, please go to
the Apple App store for iPhone/IOS devices or Google Play store for Android devices and
download the latest version of the Take Stock App (Version 3.2 for iPhone/IOS and version 5.3
for Android). If you used the Take Stock App last, year we ask that you delete the app from your
phone and install a fresh copy.
You can use the Take Stock App to “Text Chat” or “Video Chat” with your mentee and schedule a
“Text Chat Mentor Session” or “Video Chat Mentor Session” all from your smart phone or tablet (not
available for computer or laptop at this time). We have attached video training links below to show
