Manatee Elementary, A Community Partnership School awarded four students with four-year college scholarships provided by Take Stock in Children Manatee County. Funds for the scholarships were raised by private donors and matched dollar-for-dollar by the Florida Prepaid Foundation.
In attending their 5th grade graduation ceremony, Ernesto, Tomas, Cein, and Angellah-Rose — and their families — were surprised with the news of winning their scholarships.
“There are not enough words to express the opportunity given to our son,” said Jeannette Meija. “Our son was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and the staff saw beyond his disorder and believed in him. This showed my son that he can do anything he puts his mind to in order to achieve what he wants in life.”
Because of you, we can continue to help more children realize their full potential through Community Partnership Schools. Congratulations to these incredible students and their families!
