National Scholarship Month
We’re thrilled to kick off our National Scholarship Month initiative—an opportunity to invest in the next generation of Manatee County’s leaders, innovators, and changemakers. This year, Take Stock in Children of Manatee County is welcoming 100 new students into our program, each with big dreams of attending college or technical school.
Together, we can help make those dreams a reality. Your support provides the mentorship, guidance, and scholarships that open doors to brighter futures right here in our community.
Our Goal: $115,000 for Student Scholarships
We are honored to have Steve and Sara Bayard lead our efforts with a generous $25,000 matching gift. Additionally, we are participating in the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust Match Program throughout this month. This is a fantastic opportunity to maximize your impact as we strive to exceed our goal to raise $115,000.
Your personal donation of $5-$500 may be eligible for matching funds through the Louis and Gloria Flanzer Philanthropic Trust, doubling your impact to Take Stock Manatee. Restrictions apply – please review the Trust’s terms and conditions to see if your contribution qualifies!
Every dollar raised will directly support scholarships that open doors to higher education, career opportunities, and a brighter future for our students.
*These amounts reflect the typical cost of supporting a student for one year.

Living My College Dream Thanks to Take Stock in Children
Take Stock In Children has blessed me with multiple scholarships that are allowing me to live the college experience to the fullest without any worries of financial instability. Coordinators Kelly Suba, Denise McGirr, and Meloney Jones have been through scholarship processes every step of the way (even when I need help at midnight). I am extremely grateful for all the opportunities Take Stock In Children of Manatee has opened up for me! Thank you to all the donors, mentors, and coordinators for helping me! ~Madison, Class of 2025 Alumna
