Seniors Highlight | Congratulations to the Class of 2025!
This May, 55 Take Stock seniors from across Manatee County will cross the graduation stage and head into the next chapter of their lives. They’ve studied, planned, persevered, and grown. Some balanced homework with part-time jobs or caregiving at home. Others stayed after school for clubs, test prep, or a quiet space to study. Add in things like sports and maintaining a social life, and that’s a lot on their plates. But despite the busyness of this season, all of them stayed connected to their mentors and made the most of what was offered. Now, they’re walking into new adventures with the entire Take Stock team cheering them on.
Our students come from a variety of schools across the county, including Manatee High, Southeast, Palmetto, Bayshore, and Parrish Community. Many are finishing high school with a college degree already in hand, thanks to Dual Enrollment. Others have completed challenging academic tracks like AICE and IB. Together, they’ve earned an impressive average GPA of 3.8!
College doors are swinging open, and this year’s seniors are walking through with purpose. They’ve received acceptance letters from the University of Florida, Florida State, USF, Stetson, Eckerd, Embry-Riddle, Washington University, and many more. Most secured support through Bright Futures and a Pell Grant/FAFSA, and many are still waiting to hear about additional scholarships. Some of these seniors will be first-generation college students and are showing others in their families and communities, including younger siblings, what’s possible.
This class reflects exactly what happens when support, consistency, and opportunity come together. The tools we offer matter, but the effort our students bring is what truly moves the needle.
To the Class of 2025, we’re incredibly proud of your determination and resilience. You’ve worked so hard for this, and we’re excited to see what you do next!
